Hi, I’m Randall. Today, I want to talk a little bit about a serious topic facing many people in the United States and around the world, and that is identify theft.
As you can see behind us, the city, uh, issued us a container where we can put recycle [recyclable] materials. They pick these up every two weeks, and you can look inside. You can see milk cartons, uh, uh, different types of plastic, uh, cardboard boxes, and newspaper. And that’s a great way of, uh, protecting the environment.
But you also have to keep in mind that there are people who come along in the evening, or when you’re not looking, and actually go through your materials and try to find personal information, for example, bank statements, or other information that they can steal your identify, so you want to be careful, so recycling is important, but what we do is we shred any important documents beforehand and then either put in our garden as compost or we put out and recycle. So, just be careful.
