What are some of the keys to building positive relationships with your children or parents? Do you feel close to parents? Why or why not?
Hi, I’m Randall, and I’m here in cold Utah weather. It’s below freezing, and I want to tell you three things you can do to improve your relationships with your kids, especially your fourteen-year-old.
Number one: don’t think like an adult. Think like a fourteen-year-old and what they like to do, even though you don’t like it.
Number two: pretend that you like it. You can’t just do it for five minutes and then just give up, but you have to be persistent and show that you really enjoy it.
And the last thing is: do it again and again. I’m not suggesting out in the snow, but do things again and again with your kids so that they appreciate the time that you spend with them.
So, here I go. I’ve never lost, and I won’t lose again today.
