In your country or area, what do people do when a friend or family member dies? How is the person remembered? Find at least two Web sites that explain the funeral practices and ceremonies of people in different cultures.
Hi, I’m Randall, and I’m here at a city cemetery in the United States to talk just briefly about what Americans do when someone dies. Often, there is a funeral, and at the funeral, uh, speeches are given, often music, prayers and a time to remember the person who has died.
After the funeral, the deceased is brought to cemetery like this and is laid to rest. Often, speeches are given, and then during certain times of the year, uh, one example is Memorial Day, family members will come and uh, clean around the graves, leave flowers to remember the individual who has died, who has had an impact on their lives.
