Maria:
Oh. Hey, James. What did you bring for lunch today?

James:
Hi, Maria. I brought a sandwich and an apple. Uh, I didn't have time to make anything else.

Maria:
Oh, a sandwich AND an apple. Fancy! What kind of sandwich is it?

James:
It's turkey with cheese and lettuce and . . Oh, a tomato. I mean, a slice of tomato.

Maria:
That sounds good. I brought a salad and some grapes.

James:
Well. That's healthy. Do you always bring fruit?

Maria:
I mean, healthy is relative. This is covered in dressing. Uh, but, yeah, I like to have something sweet, like a cookie. What about your drink? What do you have there?

James:
Some water. What about you?

Maria:
I would like to tell you this is juice, but it's soda. Do you want some?

James:
Oh, no. Maybe next time.

Maria:
So, do you usually pack lunch or do you buy it at school sometimes.

James:
I usually pack it. It's cheaper, but sometimes, Uh, I buy something at the café. What about you?

Maria:
I usually bring my own food because then I make sure that it's something I like to eat. Um. Sometimes, I make extra and share it with my friends.

James:
That's nice. So what about that cookie there? Are you willing to share?

Maria:
No. I've been saving it for myself all morning. You cannot have any.

James:
Okay.
