Hi, I’m Randall, and as you can see behind me, this entire street is decorated with national flags, and there are several occasions when this takes place.

Uh, number one, uh, Americans often decorate their yards and areas, uh, on Independence Day and on Presidents Day . . . on certain national holidays.

Uh, number two, when a government leader dies. Often this is a way to pay tribute to that individual.

And in this particular occasion, someone up our street has just returned home from the military, and this is one way to welcome the person home.
