Video Script

Hi, I'm Randall, and I've just dropped off my daughter at her part-time job on Saturdays, working on a farm, and I think teaching children the value of work is so important. Number one, it teaches them to become self-reliant and independent, so that as they prepare for college and prepare to move away, that they know the value of money and can stand on their own two feet.

The other thing is that children need to learn that the parents' responsibility is to get them the things that they need, not necessarily what they want, and a cell phone is one of those things. My children, if they want a cell phone, have to earn it, and by doing part-time jobs, like working on a farm, it can teach them, again, how to become independent and self-reliant, but knowing the value of money.
